Ronnie Lane’s Slim Chance

A Blues Bar Tring special to raise funds for the Chilterns Multiple Sclerosis Centre.
We are in for a great evening with Slim Chance as the main act and Giles Hedley providing a support set.
Giles’s solo work recreates the passion, grit and fire of the delta blues greats – Son House, Fred McDowell (with both of whom Giles appeared in the Seventies), Kokomo Arnold, Robert Johnson. Slim Chance is now recognised as one of the hottest bands in the UK. with a show – recently noted for it’s ‘ rollicking joie de vivre’ that Mr Lane himself would have been proud of.
The band contains three original members of Ronnie’s band:
- Steve Bingham
- Charlie Hart
- Steve Simpson
and they are honoured to be joined by three highly acclaimed musicians:
- Billy Nichols
- Brendan O’ Neill
- Geraint Watkins
Together they deliver a well-crafted and entertaining show based on Ronnie’s numerous classic songs as well as new material, mostly drawn from the band’s recent ground breaking album – ‘On The Move’.
Slim Chance will be supported by supported by Giles Hedley, a Blues Bar Tring regular
Vibrant vocals, harmonica, guitar and bottleneck. Delta Blues greats with a mix of Ragtime, Bluegrass & Gospel – Giles is a Class act.
Doors and Bar open at 6:30 pm. There will be food available from a BBQ, a Raffle and the bands will be on from 8 pm.

Tickets may also be purchased from the Blues Bar Tring on a gig night or from Beechwood fine foods located in Frogmore street Tring. The court theatre will offer standing accommodation.
