John Steel, Mickey Gallagher along with Danny Handley and Scott Whitley. The band that shook the world back in 1964 have re-invented themselves
…quality and distinct sound that was, and still is, The Animals…”
Barry Kirk, Romford Recorder
The enduring influence and breadth of appeal of Animals & Friends and The Animals’ music in 2010 – The Animals’ 1964 debut was recently included in CLASSIC ROCK magazines’ ’50 Albums That Built Blues Rock ‘.

The band have embarked on over a dozen massive UK tours with Special Guests including Spencer Davis, Stax, Booker T & The MGS and Blues Brothers guitar legend Steve Cropper, Maggie Bell (Stone The Crows) and the late, great Mick Green (The Pirates, Van Morrison, Paul McCartney, Bryan Ferry) – which were the last shows by the guitarist viewed by many as one of the most influential in music.

Animals & Friends remain a seminal rhythm & blues band who still command great respect internationally amongst their peers as well as from fans of all ages who instinctively respond so enthusiastically to such pivotal songs from The Animals’ catalogue such as ‘We Gotta Get Out Of This Place’, ‘Boom Boom’, ‘Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood’, ‘Baby, Let Me Take You Home’, ‘I Put A Spell On You’ and the bands’ multi-million selling anthem and Number One hit across the world – ‘House of The Rising Sun’.

The Billy Walton Band

Billy walton

For decades musicians have come and gone, always hoping to make a living and pursue a dream. Billy Walton is no different. Billy’s proving ground was Long Beach Island. There he was chaperoned from gig to gig by his Mom, two young to drive around and enter the clubs on his own. He always was up for a jam and looking to learn some tricks. For years Billy spent his time sharpening his skills, developing his stage act until he decided to step up to center stage with the Billy Walton Band.

The band has focused its’ effort in Europe. 13 tours since 2007 have established the group in the fertile British Blues Rock scene. In 2010 Billy got the call to join in with one of the masters of the Asbury Park sound, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes. For years Billy toured with the Jukes. Most people don’t know that the creative force behind Southside was none other than Little Steven. A highpoint in Billy’s tenure with the Jukes was when they recorded a live version of Southside’s most acclaimed release, Hearts of Stone, with Little Steven.

With a burning desire to entertain and pursue a serious music career, at the age of 18 Alex Butler decided to form a band. April 2012 saw the beginning of the blues/rock band emerge as Red Butler with Alex Butler (guitar), Charlie Simpson (drums), Jane Pearce (vocals) and Steve Eveleigh (bass). July 2014 saw Mike Topp replace Steve.
>Drawing upon influences from SRV, Etta James, Joe Bonamassa, Gary Moore, Free, King King, Santana and Derek Trucks the band have developed their own style of writing and have begun producing thoughtful, light hearted and melodic compositions. The band have been mentioned a number of times by the blues media culminating in the award for ‘Best New UK Act’ 2014 via the Writers Poll for Blues Matters!
In September 2015, Red Butler came runners up in the Emerging Artist category of the British Blues Awards, with Alex Butler also runner up for Young Artist. In October 2015, the band won the 2nd UK Blues Challenge, and will represent the UK at the European Blues Challenge hosted in Italy in 2016.
